What this skill does
seo-audit is a complete SEO audit framework from Corey Haines' marketing skills collection. It activates when you ask your agent to audit a site, review meta tags, run an SEO health check or find out why traffic dropped or rankings were lost. The agent starts with a short assessment of the site type, goals and priority pages, then works through a structured checklist in a deliberate priority order.
The technical part covers crawlability, indexation, site speed and Core Web Vitals, mobile-friendliness, HTTPS and URL structure. The on-page part reviews title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, content optimization, images, internal linking and keyword targeting. It goes further than most checklists: E-E-A-T and content-depth signals, international SEO with hreflang and multilingual canonicals, and common issues by site type — SaaS, e-commerce, blogs, multi-regional sites and local businesses.
The skill is honest about its limits, for example that schema markup injected by JavaScript may not show up in a simple fetch, and explains how to check it in a real browser. The result is an audit report with prioritized, concrete fixes. Use it with Claude Code before a launch, after a migration, or whenever organic traffic falls.
