What this skill does
github-actions-templates gives your agent production-ready GitHub Actions workflows for testing, building and deploying applications. It comes from the CI/CD automation plugin of the wshobson/agents collection and is meant for setting up continuous integration and delivery, automating development workflows or creating reusable templates for a team.
The skill is organized around patterns you can adapt: a test workflow that runs your suite on every push and pull request, a workflow that builds and pushes a Docker image to a registry, a deployment to Kubernetes, and matrix builds that test several versions or operating systems at once. On top of these it adds reusable workflows, so many repositories can call one shared definition, a security scanning job with Trivy whose results are uploaded to GitHub Security, and deployments gated by approvals so production releases wait for a person.
A list of best practices completes it: pinned action versions, cached dependencies, secrets for sensitive data, status checks on pull requests, scoped permissions and failure notifications. Because the result is plain YAML in your repository, every change goes through review like any other code. Use it with Claude Code to bootstrap CI for a new project or standardize pipelines across repositories.

How to use with Claude Code & AI Agents
Install the skill
Run the command above at the root of your project. The CLI asks which agents to set up — Claude Code, Cursor and other supported agents — and adds github-actions-templates to the project, so teammates who pull the repository get it too. Add-gto install it for your user account across every project.Open a new agent session
Start a fresh Claude Code session in that project so the agent loads the new skill. This skill needs no extra tool or API key.Ask in plain words
Describe the task, for example:“Set up GitHub Actions to run our tests on every pull request and build the Docker image on main.”The agent matches your request to the skill's description and follows its SKILL.md instructions step by step. Read them on GitHub before using the skill on a system that matters.
